Bangladesh: Covid-19 Lockdown, Next Round of Help, I

April 30, 2020

A brief photo-journal from the current round of help in the Christian community of Bangladesh. I won’t be posting many pictures, due to cultural considerations, e.g. shame. I recently learned that: “…many are ashamed to stand in front of the camera.” And, “Shame is the adornment of women in Bangladesh, and when they are ashamed, they will smile.”

Today one of the villages with 60 Christian families has been helped. We pray the COVID-19 LOCKDOWN will end no later than May 9!

Words to reflect on:

“But when He [Yeshua] saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.  38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.’” – Matthew 9:36-38

“And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.” – Matthew 10:42
